The charming medieval village of Montemerano, put in 2014 among the “Most beautiful villages in Italy” is located on a hill between Saturnia and Manciano, surrounded by the Maremma countryside and protected by three surrounding walls. It has kept intact its medieval appearance with the beautiful church, the fortress, the streets paved and the characteristic square of the castle surrounded by stone buildings. Some on the outside walls broken towers are now transformed into beautiful and typical houses.
We remind that in Montemerano you will find the restaurant “Da Caino”, one of the finest of the Maremma.
Inside the ancient city wall lies this 1400 tower overlooking the Maremma countryside towards Scansano.
It is a house of about 180 sqm with a small garden of 40 sqm. The house consists of a ground floor with the entrance from the garden, a double bedroom, a bathroom, a closet and a large living room with large kitchen and a glass door that opens on a small street that leads to the city center;
a first floor, which is accessed by an iron and stone staircase, with a bedroom (located in the tower), a bathroom, a living room with kitchenette and a patio door leading to a small square near the historical center; a second floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Central heating with gas.
