Typical Tuscan farmhouse in beautiful location at Poderi di Montemerano

Stonehouse situated in the hamlet of Poderi di Montemerano, 3 km away. from the medieval village of Montemerano, 4 km away. from Manciano, 5 Km. from the famous Terme Saturnia, SPA and Golf resort, 35 minutes from the sea of Argentario, 50 minutes from Monte Amiata, one hour from Grosseto, one hour and three quarters from Rome.
The hamlet of Poderi is a group of peasant houses erected between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the laborers of the latifundos of the Marquis Ciacci, initially used as deposits for tools and then transformed into houses.
The house in question is one of the oldest. It has the advantage of being immersed in the countryside and at the same time not being isolated.
The hamlet has in fact retained its character as a small community. There are still many native people, some of them from Manciano and several people who came from outside and who have made it their habitual residence. In short, it is not an uninhabited country.
There are no shops or newsagents. The only public building is a church built at the beginning of the last century by the inhabitants themselves. There are two restaurants.
From Poderi you can reach Manciano and Montemerano by foot through two dirt roads.

The view is spectacular. The house is exposed in all directions. In the direction of the sea, the view reaches the Argentario and the sea of Giannella. On clear days you can see the island of Giglio, Elba and sometimes Corsica. Opposite is the village of Montemerano and the view reaches Scansano.

The house built between the end of the nineteenth century and the early twentieth century of approx. 300 square meters + 6000 square meters of land almost all with olive trees.
On the ground floor there is a small entrance leading left to the large dining room with fireplace, kitchen with two French windows leading one to the garden, the other to the veranda, on the right there is the living room with fireplace, small bathroom with sink and a small bedroom with its bathroom A beautiful travertine staircase with barrel ceiling in terracotta leads to the bedrooms.
On the left there is a bedroom with a staircase leading to the fully wardrobe attic, a bathroom and a study with a balcony overlooking the garden and a breathtaking view of Montemerano.
On the right there is a long corridor with a large balcony that always offers this wonderful view.
We find the first double bedroom on the right, then we find the second double bedroom and at the end of the corridor the bathroom with shower.
