In the historic centre of Roccalbegna, a small hill village (522 m above sea level) of medieval origins in southern Tuscany, 46 km from Grosseto, 25 km from Terme di Saturnia and Monte Amiata. An old house in the city walls, with a beautiful view of the Albegna Valley, a small house free on three sides, spread over four floors.

Ground floor: masonry kitchen, small storeroom and service bathroom, from here there is access to the garden of approx. 100 m2, 1st floor with entrance from the road, entree with stairs leading to the kitchen below and to the rooms, living room with fireplace. 2nd floor: two rooms and a bathroom with double shower cabin with hydromassage. On the third floor is the attic, where it is possible to obtain another bedroom. The house is perfectly restored and partially furnished.

It is located in the centre of the village and therefore close to all shops and services
including bank, post office, medical care.
The typical medieval village is in the middle of the wild nature of the Maremma with WWF parks and nature reserves, between the sea of the Tuscan archipelago and the Amiata mountains. The thermal baths of Saturnia are 25 km away, those of Sorano 35 km, Bagno Vignoni 47 km away.
In less than an hour you can reach the most important Etruscan sites in Tuscany (Sovana, Pitigliano, Vulci, Tarquinia).
The nearest town Grosseto (45 km) is connected by a bus service that leaves directly from the railway station.
Those who love trekking or biking can find here wonderful itineraries along the Albegna river or on Monte Labbro from which you can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panorama and unforgettable sunsets and starry skies.
At the same distance, in the direction of the sea, you can enjoy fantastic sandy and rocky beaches and picturesque seaside villages such as Talamone, Castiglione della Pescaia as well as the Parco Dell’Uccellina, the Argentario and the beautiful islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, including the island of Giglio, also visible from the hills surrounding the village. For those who prefer the mountains, it is about an hour’s drive to the summit of Mount Amiata (1738 m a.s.l.) with the possibility of going for walks in the woods or chestnut groves and in winter to ski in its ski facilities.
Also nearby are Niki de Saint Phalle’s famous Tarot Garden in Capalbio and Daniel Spoerri’s Sculpture Park in Seggiano.
The restaurants, all family-run, offer traditional local dishes with local and seasonal local and seasonal products in addition to game meats and wines from the MonteCucco or Morellino di Scansano reserves. The famous Roccalbegna salted biscuit whose recipe is of ancient origin is a Slow Food presidium, as are the award-winning cheeses of the Caseificio Fiorini.
